Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a world class Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance functions within the facility and serves as a resource person for maintaining preventive maintenance programs relating to machinery, equipment and systems throughout the facility. This person works directly with the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor to execute work orders; and, is also responsible for performing on-going audits relating to equipment and safety. 


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Supports the site TPM schedule for both operational equipment and facility systems under the direction of facility and operations managers.  
  2. Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with preventive and predictive maintenance on the facilities CNC and production machinery when necessary.
  3. Completes minor facility repairs as required; or, works with the facility manager to arrange for outside vendors to complete repairs.  
  4. Works with vendors to Maintain HVAC systems including chiller system, steam boilers, cooling towers, roof top units, and building management system.
  5. Keeps work area clean and organized to insure safety and environmental compliance. 
  6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  7. Assist in troubleshooting plant security and protection systems.
  8. *Design, layout, perform load calculations and install and rough in electrical power distribution systems in plant and office areas, bending and handing conduit pipe, pulling electrical wires, installing receptacles and lights.
  9. Perform repairs and maintenance to heating and cooling systems, plumbing systems, sewer systems, main building and snow removal as needed for emergency cases.

Qualifications

  1. Three or more years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or similar environment. OR •    Certificate in industrial electrical maintenance
  2. High school diploma or general equivalency 
  3. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Skills and Competencies

  1. Follows all safety guidelines including utilization of proper PPE.
  2. Follows proper operating procedures and maintains proper records in accordance within plant management system.
  3. Demonstrates positive relations and teamwork as established in the IMI Way and Leadership Blueprint within the organization.
  4. Ability to perform basic facility repairs (drywall, painting, patches, minor electrical repairs, etc.).
  5. Familiarity with OSHA standards and regulations; and, experience performing safety audits and reviews preferred.
  6. Ability to work with hand and power tools. 
  7. Knowledge of equipment maintenance protocols, autonomous and preventative maintenance processes.  
  8. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; and, perform tasks independently.

CNC Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a world class CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team. The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for effectively troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures on CNC equipment. Must be able to read schematics and parts drawings, perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and facilities, and be proficient with the use of a multi meter. Utilize downtime reports to evaluate and prioritize workload according to production needs. Completes task in a timely manner. This person works directly with the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor to execute work orders; and, is also responsible for performing on-going audits relating to equipment and safety. 


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the maintenance, repair and setup of robotics, CNC machines, vision systems, and other control driven equipment
  2. Repair, program, and troubleshoot control systems on plant equipment
  3. Calibrate, repair, program and troubleshoot robotic systems (Fanuc and ABB)
  4. Calibrate, repair, program and troubleshoot vision systems (Fanuc, ABB, and Cognex Vision)
  5. Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance to get machines up and running to capacity
  6. Communicate with supervisors and managers to inform of situations that may impact production
  7. Contact and interact with contractors for maintenance issues requiring outside expertise
  8. Compile records of equipment and machinery information to use as maintenance resources
  9. Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts for all machines to minimize downtime
  10. Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with preventive and predictive maintenance on the facilities CNC and production machinery when necessary.
  11. Move and install plant and building equipment, layout and make necessary pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic line connections
  12. Design and program control circuits for P.C. controlled equipment

Technical Support Representative

We are looking for a world class Technical Support Representative to join our team. The Technical Support Representative provides optimal technical support to customers and distributors and enhances sales growth by improving customer satisfaction. 


Organizational Relationship

Reports to the Customer Service Supervisor.

 

Essential Functions

Provide technical phone and email support to customers regarding Bimba enterprise-wide products.  Apply knowledge of cataloged products, technical design and product use in order to assist customers in the application of enterprise-wide products.  Applies advanced skills in area of specialization.  May adapt procedures and techniques to meet special needs.  Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine.  Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only complex issues to a higher level.  Works under minimal supervision.  May periodically assist in the training of lower level employees.  

 

Fundamental Responsibilities

Satisfy technical inquiries received at Bimba Manufacturing from any customer/distributor, related to all product lines via any communication tool (i.e., fax, e-mail, v-mail, telephone).
Apply knowledge of products, technical design and their use to assist with customers with product selection and troubleshooting.  May require research or practical experience of product or application.
Responsible for processing quote requests for product deviations or specials which includes working with other departments to verify manufacturing capabilities and developing costs for components/assemblies.
Process Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).  Create related disposition reports providing an explanation of the results of our analysis of the return and submit to the customer.
Responsible for carrying out requests that will initiate or alter previously documented items such as taking and maintaining orders, develop pricing for specials, understanding the impact and initiating order changes. 
Responsible for research and understanding of readily accessible information such as in catalogs, ATP, delivery.
Author technical bulletins for use in training programs or tools to support efforts of the Service Center, Sales or Marketing Departments.
Develop marketing information for product improvement or new product opportunities.
Author and maintain deviation schedules.
Perform information maintenance duties such as EDI editing, quotation updates, summary or trend analysis work such as sample effectiveness and quote summary.
Gather information to enter into the customer database.
Perform sales presentations as required including active participation as an instructor at Bimba seminars and/or participant in customer/distributor presentations.

 

Minimum Requirements

An associate degree in a technology or science field, preference given to pneumatics or hydraulics or electronics.
Prior customer service experience
Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communication in a problem solving context.
CFPPS certification is required or to be obtained in one year.

Regional Sales Manager

We are looking for a world class Regional Sales Manager to join our team. All activities of the RSM are directed toward successful achievement of company-announced sales and growth goals. The position of Regional Manager is accountable for the development and growth of key customers, qualified target accounts and sales channels. The primary focus of the account development will be capturing or increasing market share, the emphases is on growth vs. maintenance. The RSM will continuously be reviewing the needs of their territory, supporting all Bimba enterprises. Identifying and interviewing potential distributors, VAR’s, Rep’s etc. as required. The Regional Manager is, in part, responsible for maintaining relationships and projecting a positive image of Bimba in the marketplace.  


Organizational Relationship

The Regional Manager’s position reports to the North American Corporate Sales Manager.  

 

Responsibilities and Duties

The Regional Manager is held accountable in the following areas:

  1. Sales Performance:
    • Meet and exceed sales objectives of assigned region by promoting and selling the Bimba enterprise products through professional selling techniques, consultative selling, training, product service, and long-term distributor/customer relationships. Providing all sales activity documented in CRM.  
  2. Product Knowledge:  
    • Demonstrates a working knowledge of Bimba’s products and capabilities. 
    • Demonstrates ability to interview distributors and customers to obtain pertinent application details. 
  3. Account Focus:
    • Accounts with potential over $50K. 
    • National and local market leading account focus, which they coordinate and manage all action either through distribution or direct. 
    • Driving specifications at large OEM’s or key End Users. 
    • The RSM will develop new accounts through prospecting, having the ability to call on accounts without distributor. 
    • Works hand in hand with Product Sales Managers and the Product Sales Manager for integrated systems, closing large projects. 
  4. Distributor Evaluation:
    • Conduct annual, written evaluations “Distributor Scorecard” for each distributor’s performance with the distributor’s ownership and or Sales Management. Recommendations concerning distributor replacements should come from the Regional Manager.. 
  5. Forecasting:
    • Provide semi-annual forecast by distributor on both designated “Business Development Accounts”, “Distributor Joint” and “Top Ten” accounts. In addition, the RSM will be responsible for the overall sales forecast including accounts outside the designated accounts above. 
  6. Competitive Information:
    • Research and report on competition, competitive issues, products, and markets for actuators and related products. (Price increases, distributor line card changes, etc.). 
  7. Travel Expectations:
    • 80% direct customer contact on a weekly basis. 
    • 50% overnight travel required. 

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • 4 Year Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years sales or related experience Motion Control/Mechatronix, Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrates Microsoft Office competence
  • Receives the Certified Fluid Power Pneumatic Specialist certification. New hires will have 6 months to successfully complete this training and certification.

Requirements:
