TRD Announces Main Catalog Reprint

Monee, IL - March 6, 2007- The TRD catalog has recently been updated and reprinted. The new main catalog CAT-TRD1-0606 replaces the old CAT-TRD1-0104. At a glance, you can easily distinguish the reprinted catalog which has a picture of the TRD building on the back cover. Here’s a detailed list of the catalog revisions.

Added in this edition

  • Fixed Cushions - Provides a small, drilled flow path for “fixed” cushion exhaust air flow. This non-adjustable design eliminates the need for adjustments, provides tamper-free operation and guarantees cushion function at each end of full stroke.
  • Nitrotech Plated Clevis Pin - Provides higher corrosion resistance for outdoor applications and a “case hardened” wear surface extending the life of the pin. This item replaces hard chrome plated O.D. clevis pins with E-rings (page 101).
  • New Alignment Coupler Sizes ACH250, AC1875, AC2000 – Expanded coupler selection now includes a 1/4” rod thread size in our ACH (Adjustable Split Hex Collar) series and two new AC sizes, 1 7/8” and 2”. These couplers are machined from Break-Die™ high strength material, and they are the toughest, long lasting alignment couplers on the market (page 104).
  • Flow Controls (Bimba) – Bimba’s FCP flow control series and FQP Quick-Flo® series are now TRD catalog offerings. These flow controls will regulate cylinder speeds up to 150 PSI and are useable with 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” port sizes (pages 105-106).
  • New! Extended Temperature Reed Switch “RHT” Series - This extreme temperature switch is enclosed in our R10 miniature switch housing and can handle lower temperatures (-40°F, -40° and higher temperatures (260° F, 125° C) (pages 107-113).

Revised in this edition

Text Format for Numbers - Replaced the use of fractions with decimal numbers and increased the decimal font size so it is easier to read. (Example, 1/16” is now .063)

Removed in this edition

MPH Option from “How to Order” Pages - The most common mistake made by customers is specifying the “MPH” option for use with TRD solid state switches. Even though the switch section explains which magnet option is required for our solid state switches (MPR), the MPH option is frequently ordered. These instructions are very easy to overlook but it is difficult to correct the mistake after the cylinders are shipped. TRD has kept the MPH option in our options section (page 86) to show that it is still orderable and when to correctly use it.
