Monee, IL – February 28, 2006 – Bimba Manufacturing announces the release of a powerful, web-based Sizing and Selection module for designing-in Bimba products. The user-friendly software allows engineers to find the right part for the job, test it to different application variables and easily generate a model number for ordering.
There are two major functional benefits of the software—sizing capabilities and part number configuration. The sizing module guides the user through the application parameters and drills down to the best product solution. A top-level search identifies all products meeting selected criteria, quickly narrowing the search for the right solution. After the properly sized product is identified, the software guides the user through the logical creation of a model number for ordering.
If the desired model number is already known, the user can also evaluate the product under different application variables such as changes in velocity, space and force. From that point, the user can access 2D and 3D CAD drawings, as well as real-time pricing and delivery information from Bimba.com.
